Fjola Dogg Helgadottir, PhD, MClinPsych, Postgrad Dip, BA, is a Director at AI-Therapy and a practicing clinical psychologist in British Columbia, Vancouver, and Reykjavik, Iceland, previously a Senior Research Clinician at Department of Psychiatry, University of Oxford in the UK.
Fjola has received several major awards for her internationally recognized research, including Australia’s prestigious Tracy Goodall Early Career Award for Research Achievement. She currently also provides consulting services on the topic of online psychology and psychiatry for her company AICBT Ltd, which has clients in Sydney, Australia; Oxford and London, UK; and Denver and New York in the USA.
Her company’s flagship product Overcome Social Anxiety is a program supported by an RCT trial and real world data studies. AI-Therapy has also published Overcome Fertility related Stress, Statistics for Psychologists and several other products are underway.
She has practiced and been fully registered as a clinical psychologist in Canada, United Kingdom, Iceland and Australia. In Iceland she is providing technology focused evidence-based psychology services and is providing e-services to Canadians. AI-Therapy grew out of her doctoral research, which was focused on innovative computer-based treatments for anxiety disorders.
