Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is characterized by taking your own thoughts too seriously. As a result of appraising your thoughts people start to behave as if the thoughts have some important meaning. Therefore, most people recognize OCD by the rituals that follow. Rituals can be both cognitive and behavioral, and can sometimes be tricky to identify.
